Hi, I currently have a '99 93 2.0 LPT which has done 10,500 miles and would like an opinion of anyone who has a 2.2 TID in the UK. The problem I have is, I am about to change job location which will involve a 102 mile round trip each day Mon-Fri. With the LPT I tend to get around 30-35 MPG on trunk roads (which I will be using) which to my estimations will cost around £40-50 a week. I am interested to learn what any owner of a TID thinks about 1. Performance and 2. Fuel economy. I know that the official figures say you can get around 46MPG, is this right??? Also if anyone replies, have you driven a 2.0 LPT and if you have what is the difference?? Also is the cabin nosier or not?? An answer to these questions would really help as I have the chance of importing a brand new 2.2 TID SE for around 15k if I decide to sell mine. Many Thanks.
