I have a '90 900S and it has to crank for about 4 to 5 seconds before it starts cold. If I use the old trick I used on my '86 900, turning the key on and off to build pressure in the fuel system, it starts in about 2 seconds. The fuel pump check valve had to be replaced and later on the entire fuel pump as replaced. I seem to recall by '86 900 started with one turn of the key when everything was working. Can I assume a '90 900s should behave the same? If this is the case, then am I looking at a new fuel pump?
