If you intend to keep the car and have to replace the head gasket, it is a good opportunity to replace water pump and service other component while the engine is partly dismantled, but are the valves affected by a blown head gasket if it is attended to immediately? I hope not. Or do you mean that the valves need attention around 100K miles anyway? Johannes
