Having paint problems fixed after 12 months of ownership is sort of a pain - although your dealer may be responsive you will have to jump through a few hoops with Saab to get it fixed. Basically you will have to have the factory Saab rep look at the car and he will try and convince you that the flaking is due to either a scrape or rock damage and it has nothing to do the the initial paintjob. I had a paint problem on my 95's hatch in which the paint in two or three sections developed a few "pimples" which developed rust plumes at the center. The factory rep wouldn't fix the problem and said it was due to water entering the paint (a body shop said it was due to poor primer adhesion) and refused to cover the repair. You may have better luck. in article 8uPv6.9479$Wz.3542460nopsamoon.ne.mediaone.net, Plum at postmasternopsam0.0.1 wrote on 3/26/01 4:34 PM: > Hi all, > > I figured that I'd be brave this weekend and put the summer wheels back on > the Viggen (maybe a gamble - I'm in NH). > > While I was crawling around chasing lug bolts, I noticed that the black > paint is cracking and flecking off on the black grille found on the very > bottom of the front air dam.
