The 9000 cars are really quite different and heavier that the other type 4 cars. The weight of my Fiat Croma was 1100 kg, the same as a modern Ford Focus or VW Golf. In contrast, the weight of my Saab 9000 is 1400 kg, but the performance is still better due to the addition of 16 valve and LPT. It feels more solid and refined than the Fiat Croma, So sharing platform does not tell you very much. Johannes
