Ok, so my 88' Saab 900 Turbo has been sitting awhile. After checking the water and oil levels, I go and pop a battery into it, and it doesn't start. It turns over fine, and I have plenty of spark. But it has those clear plastic tubes leading to the injectors, and they do not seem to have any fuel going through them. I took off the banjo fitting, coming from the tank into a fitting on the injector bodym turned the engine over, and nothing. Now, I'm thinking that maybe even taking the banjo fitting wouldn't necessarily tell me anything, because I would think that the fitting would have some sort of vaccuum upon it, and by having it simply hanging there will I am turning over the starter is a moot point and senseless. So, what I am thinking, is that the fuel pump or relay has gone bad. But, I dont know which one is the fuel pump relay. The relays, located on the drivers side inner fender, has two? or three? relays and slots marked 'fuel'. The cover of the fuse box My question(s) is(are) thus: Can I run a jumper and bypass the relay just to see if I can hear the fuel pump running? And if so, where the heck do I put said jumper? Someone told me terminal 87, but I cant see any steenkin' numbers ;( If I remember correctly, and no I have not checked, the pump is accessible by removing the hatchboack/trunk floor. Isn't there some sort of checkvalve that prevents fuel from draining back into the tank? Could this have gone bad (seal?) and not letting the pump prime up? The car is in very good condition (except for the damn headliner falling) and I really would like to get it up and running, like... in a week? Two? I miss my sunroof... The reason I parked it was because it was over heating, and a quick check with a voltmeter revealed a fan grounded itself out and wasnt working. I changed it out and now this.... HELP!!!
