Subject: What route does CD changer cable take from dash to trunk (NG900) ?

Dear All, I am currently in the process of upgrading my 1996 Saab 900 from the basic 3rd party RDS radio/cassette affair, to the Saab Audio System 2 with CD changer. To begin with all I had was the Grundig radio/cassette, rear speakers, and fixed aerial. What I hope to end up with is AS2 head unit, powered aerial, and Clarion CD changer. So far I've obtained and installed an AS2 head unit from a scrapped Saab, which works fine. However on installing it I couldn't find the DIN cable for the CD changer. Checking the void behind the trunk liner, I couldn't find any cable coiled up awaiting use. I can only assume that Saab don't include it in the loom if the AS2 isn't being fitted. So, my primary question is: has anyone any idea what route through the car I should use to install my own changer cable? I've taken a photo of the area behind the boot liner to assist, the photo can be found at http://www.sunnyday.demon.co.uk/changer.jpg . Does anyone know if the cable should leave the trunk area over the wheel arch (shown in photo as arrow 2), or between the inner skin and outer panel (shown as arrow 1)? Can anyone recall what the rest of the route to the head unit would be? Also, arrow 3 points to a couple of pre-formed holes in the inner skin panel. Are these where the changer mounting bracket attaches to? Finally, anyone who has fitted the Clarion changer - do you recall whether your changer came with any mounting equipment from Clarion, or did it all need sourcing from Saab? Very many thanks in anticipation for any help you can give regarding my queries. Hoping to hear from someone soon, Kind regards, Clive Wilson
