As I mentioned, if the other car is running, the rules definitely change. Maybe it would be safest to disconnect one cable from the other car so that you are isolated from it's electrical system. It's possible that your locking system was already doused and losing power just identified the problem for you. It's also possible that something odd happened - depending on how they started it... hard to say at this point. I know a mechanic who's specialized in repairing Saabs for over 20 years. I'll ask him next time I'm at the garage. I'll post his thoughts. Bob
