You will need to remove the plastic trim at the base of the windscreen first. Look roughly in the centre of the car for the unit which has 4 wires to it: yellow, blue, green, grey. When you remove the resistor pack look for a torpedo shaped component which is a thermal fuse. This should have a black tip, showing it to be a 110 deg C item. These are available from Maplins for a few pence, but now have a blue tip. The new one *must* be crimped and not soldered, and be orientated the same as the original. Very easy and cheap repair.
