I thought the pilot bearing sits in a dead end of the crankshaft, not in the flywheel... Anyway, I tried the grease method but it made grease flying all over my workshop and did not push out the bearing, so I used a small drill, through the side of the bearing and then I could bend it and pull it out (it was worn anyway so no need to take it out undamaged). This was on a V4 SAAB 96 but the principle is the same. -- MH ('77 96 '78 95 '79 96 '72 97) http://go.to/saab96
