Subject: Which convertible should I buy?

Gentlemen & ladies. I'm thinking of buying a second-hand 900 convertible at some stage in the next six months and I'd appreciate any advice you can offer. I can spend up to £15,000 (c.$25,000 US) and will probably buy from a dealer since I'm pretty hopeless at maintenance and I need a clean and well-behaved machine from the start. Right now, that sort of money might get me a '97 2.0 Turbo Talladega with less than 50k on the clock - and that looks a decent option from my (very) limited knowledge. BUT. I prefer the looks of the older 900 (bit more rugged) and have a gut feeling that it's more of a "real Saab" than the '94-on model. Should I look out for a low-mileage example from early '94 or thereabouts instead? It'll easily come in under budget, but what about reliability, maintenance etc? If I go this route, which model is most enjoyable to own - any (UK) special editions etc that I should look out for? OR. Should I wait a year or so and pick up a 9-3? They're getting down to the sort of money I have, but I'm not going to get much more than an entry-level model for a while and I really fancy a turbo... Is it a Saab at all, though? It'll be used for a short daily run to and from the station, plus weekend fun - not more than 6,000-7,000 miles a year - and I want something I can rely on for three to five years. Your wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
