Jeremy: Eibach does not make springs for the '97 and earlier NG series, only '98 and later. I know because I just got done trying to fit a set of '98+ Eibach springs to a '97. The *front* '97 springs have a pigtail on the end of the coil that is smaller in diameter and fits a matching area on the upper and lower mount. The Rears would fit OK. It might be possible to fit them by changing to the upper spring mount from a 9-3 ($100 each) but that might require the bearings ($33 each) too... or you could get all these from a junkyard. The lower mount would need a new spring stop added to prevent spring rotation as it will miss the existing stop. Either way it's not a plug-n-play. Email Eibach and they'll tell you they don't make springs for the '97. You can fit Swedish Dynamics, BOGE, or Abbott racing as they make them for your year. They are all known to be stiff, the BOGE might be a little softer but are also low and I've heard they tend to bottom out. All have a more significant drop than the Eibach. Ask them how they plan to fit '98 springs on a '97 and what the total cost would be. As an alternative, you might want to get a set of adjustable Koni's. I just added them to my '97 and they are great. Not the same as stiffer/lower springs but a nice effect overall and an outstanding ride even with them set for a little stiffness. BTW_ you should not fit any of the stiffer springs to your car without new shocks anyway, as yours are worn out if they're > 40K and have never been replaced. Stiffer springs mean stiffer shocks (dampers). Bob
