Subject: What are the rubber flaps under my Saab for?



Hello,

I noticed two plastic flaps similar to mudguards used behind wheels but
these are halfway underneath a 97 SAAB convertible?
Are they there for aerodynamics reason? Sorry, new to the SAAB world?
