I don't mean to bore you with it but if someone is asking I'm happy to share my experience. I wrote in my letter that I had my car maintained regularly and only by SAAB garages (brand - i.e. not just someone that has had a SAAB or has done a job on one for his friend). This was a very costly experience. SAAB 9000 is considered - at least in Europe - to be the most expensive car to maintain - in its class. Yet, after less than 100k miles it let me down. Moreover, the SAAB customer department did so too. They told my that my warranty had expired and there was nothing they would do. Mercedes may have a different policy. I don't know, but you might also want to know that here in Europe they all give just one year on their cars. Sorry, not all. The Japanese come with three years warranty. I think the 9-5 is really nice and I would be happy to buy one. Somehow, I feel it would be a nice match. I'm a pilot. But after such an experience what would you do? Forgive and forget? No! Maybe I could forgive but forget? How? If the manufacturer tells me to forget it. Andy
