Subject: Vent and vibration problem.

'97 900SE (not conv), at speeds above 60MPH during accleration there is vibration in the steering wheel. If I let up on the gas (not enough to start slowing back down) it seems to level off and the steering wheel stops shaking. It can get pretty bad...the car doesnt pull to one side or drift when braking. The mechanic says that the wheels are balanced. It has 60k+ and the original shocks/struts and the ride is a little rougher then it used to be (that the culprit?. Also, when the heater or AC is on there is a loud noise, at first I thought it was debris (leaves, or whatever) somewhere in the vent system but it seems to come from the fans that push the air through the vents. Turning off the climate control (no heat or ac) kills the sound. The sound is constant when the unit is on, sort of a fluttering sound thats constant. You can hear it outside the vehicle as well...louder actually. I am going in for service soon and I want to know they are fixing/replacing the right things, and not covering up what could become bigger problems. Thanks, -Sean
