How big of an issue is this? The warm up/cool down isn't an issue at all! Unless of course you get into your car, drive like a loony for the first 10 miles and then just park it! A Saab turbo is to be driven like any other car. You can use the boost from the turbo, only thing you shouldn't do is to floor it completely the first 10 miles. Cooling down won't be necessary unless you've been driving 100+ miles/hour for a longer period of time or have been flooring it at all the read lights on the way home. These are the only times the turbo will need to take it slow the last couple of miles home. No need to sit in the garage and wait, simply take it easy a couple of miles and you're fine. Also, the water-cooling of todays turbo's continues to flow a little while after turning of the engine. Buy the Saab, use a good fully synthetic oil, chage it every 5-8000 miles and you'll be getting a great car. Cheers!
