MY 89 9000I DOES THE SAME THING. I CHECK RELAYS OK. REPLACED FAN 3 WIRE SWITCH WITH A STOCK ONE. SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT LOW TEMP. AROUND 80 DEG. AFTERMARKET ONE I READ ABOUT AFTERWARDS.STILL THE SAME, IT DOES GO INTO LOW SPEED AROUND 3/4 DID YOU LOOK AT THE TWO FUSES ON LH. INNER FENDER. THERE IS ONE THING I TRIED TO FIND OUT ABOUT, BUT HAVE NOT FOUND IT YET. ON THE LOW PRESSURE AIR COND. CYCLING SWITCH THERE IS A BLUE WIRE THAT WHEN GROUNDED DOES START THE COOLING (REAR FAN). WHEN I HIT THE SWITCH SEEMED TO WORK THE FAN THAT DAY. I THINK IT IS SUPPOSED TO RUN THE REAR COOLING WHEN THE AIR IS ON,BUT NOT SURE. MAYBE SOMEONE OUT THERE CAN ANSWER THAT.
