Salesman was clueless (what is expected?). The bearing is water cooled and oiled. It is in front of the motor and gets reasonably well cooled by the air off the radiator. Idle it a little, but you should be fine. Best suggestion is to use a good oil filter (Mann, Saab, Delco, etc -NO FRAM!!!) and Mobil 1 oil. Stay away from the Castrol Syntec as it may cause oil seals to leak. Mobil 1 seems to do fine.
