Subject: - Resetting Saab Radio Code: How to reprogram, recode a Saab radio

After searching far and wide, and finding conflicting information on some Saab bbs, here is how to reset, reprogram, recode the Saab Clarion radio after a power disconnect, or a code lock: 1) You must know the 4 digit code for the radio in question. Sometimes previous owners have written it on the body of the unit, so pull the unit from the dash and look on the chasis if you don't have the code. a) If you still can't find the code, you must take it to a Saab Dealer so they can reset a new code. 2) If you do know the code, and you mis-enter the code, the radio locks off, code-lock. Contrary to what some www sites have posted, you don't have to take it to the Saab Dealer to get it unlocked in order to re-enter or attempt another code. Simply hold the "Band" button in until the radio unlocks and allows you to re-enter another code. Hope this helps and saves some an un-necessary trip and expence to the Saab dealer. Cheers, NewsWatch99 Keywords: recode re-code reprogram re-program saab clarion radio stereo reset re-set decode de-code unlock un-lock stupid anti-theft device swedish meatballs
