Me too. Definitely would like to feel the road more. That's why I didn't bother considering a Lexus. But for me, with the S80... It came down to the look of the car. >> The Catera was very surprising, but >> Cadillac is launching the CTS next year, and I didn't want my car out of >> date so fast. > I see your point but there is a flip side to that also. > What do you mean by surprising? You know?? That's exactly what the SAAB salesperson said. She wondered why I had even considered Catera. I found the Catera's design very crisp and clean. I wanted a car not too flashy and definitely not too conservative. I did test Catera Sport, which had the tighter suspension, etc. I actually found that car very peppy. It had tighter than expected handling. But in either case.... I REALLY do like the look of the Cadillac CTS!!! http://www.thecarconnection.com/index.asp?article=3491&n=156,178&sid=178 Too bad I can't afford 2 cars. (Even though the 9-5 is already paid off.) ;) >> The LS and the S-Type were very good cars, but not roomy >> enough inside, > I always picture 70 year old men driving Lincolns around. Interesting thing though, a couple buddies from college and I (independently) started buying our cars at around the same time. So far, we've got an A6-TT, a 9-5 Aero, an S-Type 4.0, a 540i. ALL Black. ALL top-of-the-line (except the BMW... But where you gonna find an M5). No shortage of HP there. I've driven them all... And I *still* like my 9-5. The 9-5 fits in perfectly in that class of auto. > I do at times also, I like to red line it, but I've not been over 90mph > because > I just feel like I don't have good control anymore. Believe me.... The 9-5 feels perfectly stable at 90, 100, 110, 120, 130, 140. I would like to say 150... But I've only taken it to 148 (speedometer reading). :-) > That's great, I love to hear other's views about this and the other cars they > considered. Sweet
