Subject: 9000 valve noise



Hi
I've got an '86 9000T that's just started making a big racket in the
valve train area. I had the mechanic down the street take a look and
he said that one, or more, of the valve lifters were bad. Cost?? Just
$27
each, and all would need to be replaced.

Talked to the local Saab mechanic and he said that it can sometimes be
fixed by adding Marvel Mystery Oil to the engine oil. Anyone out there
had this problem? Suggestions for a fix??
