The youth probably liked a turn of speed and didn't really have the money to keep the car in order. But never mind, once the car it sold that's it. it and > >And another cycle starts all over again. > > "The circle of Saab life?" > > >Am I being philosophical? > > Nah! > In 1987 I bought a spanking new Fiat Croma, just out of the showroom. Not a bad car although the interior plastics didn't match the Saab's by any stretch of imagination. The dashboard would warp such that part of the speedo was covered. Replaced under warranty just to find that the replacement dashboard did exactly the same, so I gave up complaining. The car did well for 10 years until I sold it because I had bought the Saab. Since that FIAT was galvanized, it was still in good shape when I sold it, a nice roomy and clean car. The proceeds from the sale £1100 just covered the first repair of the Saab plus a meal. Believe me, that was hard to swallow. Johannes
