For manual gearboxes the engine produces the specified torque on 3:rd, 4:th, and 5:th gears while on 1:st, 2:nd, and reverse it produces less torque. 350 Nm on first gear would only result in spinning wheels and/or broken transmission. For automatic gearboxes it is more complicated. The control computer for the gearbox communicates with the Trionic engine control computer and tells it what the maximum torque is at the current conditions. I would guess that the torque is limited on the lower gears just as they are for the manual gearbox.
