I see that there is a Class II hitch available for the 9-5 which implies a towing capacity of up to 3500 pounds. Is anyone actually using a 9-5 to tow a 3000 pound trailer? I am considering a lightly used '99 9-5 SE sedan (4 cylinder turbo, automatic) to replace my 1990 Volvo 740 Turbo wagon, but one of the things the rear wheel drive Volvo wagon can do real well is tow my 3000 pound boat and trailer. The trailer is a single axle with surge brakes and I would install an auxiliary transmission cooler. Any real world experiences are appreciated.
