Check for loose or cracked vacuum hoses. If they are original, they may be dry and brittle and need to be replaced. You can buy fancy silicone hoses (more durable) in bulk lenghts on the web for less than 40 bucks and it takes no time to change them. Just do one at a time so nothing gets cross-wired. Heck, you can even buy these hoses in an array of spiffy colors. I believe that http://hosetechniques.com is one supplier on the web. If I am not mistaken, you will need 3.5 millimier width, and 25 feet or so should suffice to do the whole car.
