Hi Brian, I cannot say for converts because I haven't owned one, but my last car was a 98 900SET. I leased it and loved it. Prior had driven OG 900's. I understand 98 was a great year from a reliability standpoint, although someone here may feel differently. In the two years I had my 98 I had no problems at all. My wife drives a 99 9-3SE and hers has been wonderful also, although we've been through two SID's and some A/C work on hers. Hope that helps. Either way, enjoy your SAAB.
