I had been awake for about 15 hours and driving for at least 2. It was late evening (9pm), and I was driving on a narrow country road. I looked down at the dash and must have looked a bit too long because when I looked back up I was drifting onto the (gravel) "shoulder". The car got loose, flew over to (and off) the other side of the road, where it climbed a canal bank, took out at least 50ft of a barbed wire fence, spun out, and rolled back down the canal bank. The fenders were crumpled, the hatchback thrown open and bent over to one side, I lost a bumper and a mirror. The windshield and rear window were shattered. But for all that the passenger compartment held its shape (the front right hand corner of the roof was pushed down slightly, but not enough to interfere with the head of anyone who might have been sitting there [which no one was]). > >It's ok though, because then I bought the 9000 (which I prefer anyway). > > I do also, but I also really, really miss the SPG. I think the 9000 make a lot more sense: the steering geometry especially. I always hated driving the 900 through a parking lot. The gears seem to be spaced out better in the 9000 (in the 900 there seemed to be a big gap between 2nd and 3rd -- though the 9000 doesn't seem to like to pull from low speeds in 2nd as well), and the power seems to come on a lot more smoothly. Of course the 40hp increase doesn't hurt either. What do you miss about the SPG?
