I forgot that the biggest complaint about Passat sedans (and latest generation Jettas for that matter) is the small trunk opening even though it's huge once you get inside. Hm, how big is the trunk lid and trunk on the Suburu WRX? But that's probably too small a car to fit your needs? And for that matter, if you have the money to buy a new car, why don't you just buy a mid-80s Saab 900 Turbo hatchback that's in good shape? It's the best car on the road and you'll have plenty of storage space and a big trunk opening for your speaker cartons. (sorry if you already addressed this question, I haven't seen the whole thread) -jw
