The 9-3 isn't easily adaptable to add-on stereos because of the integration of the factory stereo with the car's trip/climate/etc. computer. No RCA inputs either. I did replace the stock stereo in my Miata with an in-dash MP3 player, but on my wife's 2001 9-3 we took a different route: a portable MP3 player (I recommend the RioVolt if you have a CD burner) and an FM transmitter that sends its signals to an unused radio channel. This has the side benefit of also giving you a portable player, as sw suggested. The best FM transmitter I've found is the SoundFeeder SF121 from Arkon. It's only available at their web store. The SF120 that is sold in stores (for $5 more) is a royal pain to use, but the SF121 is a nice little device and only $20. Highly recommended. http://www.arkon.com/SF121.htm ...Denny
