Saab is alot like Subaru, that is, it started in New England and spread to the rest of the country. Saab is perfectly designed for use here because in many respects, New England is similar to the northern European climes that it was designed for. These cars seem to have no problem with the road salt, winter weather and road conditions. My two 900s, an 85 base and an 86 Turbo, both are in excelent physical condition. (Though the 85 was whacked up a bit in a rear ender this year. I had to replace the hatch and front bumper & facia.) Jeremy
