The 900 changed to the new model in '94. The convertible didn't change until '95. Stay away from '95 and '96 convertibles, the top was much improved in '97. The clutch didn't change until very late in '97. Most '97's have the cable clutch. There are not many issues that I know of with the '95 except a water pump failure - usually fixed under a factory 'customer satisfaction campaign'. Saab USA could tell you if a particular car was fixed if you have the VIN. Primary areas for all NG900 purchases (94-98) are oil leaks in the tranny/rear engine area, clutch issues, idler belt & pulleys, alternator noise, A/C expansion valve. Generally a reliable car with a few odd failure points. Bob
