Ground clearance is *very* important in snow country. Back when I was driving my 1962 model 96 (a 2-stroke bullnose sedan) regularly, we had a nice blizzard overnight. Driving to work through snow deeper than the car's ground clearance, and I had the roads pretty much to myself. I figured I'd catch a ration of crap from my co-workers because I was about 10 minutes late. "Ah, sure, Swedish car, can't get through the snow...". Well, I got in to work, to unlock the doors & turn on all the lights. Made coffee - waited - people started wandering in a while later. One guy called, said he was snowed in. I said "Gee, I drive right by his road on the way to work, do you want me to come get you?" The offer was declined. Damn...I always love driving in pre-plowed roads with that car. Dave
