Following up to my own post here. Pulled the plugs last night, no problems getting them out. Light brown deposits on all 4, slight carbon as well. The side electrodes were eroded a bit, but the plugs cleaned up well with the wire brush, so I regapped them, polished the "cap" where the plug wires go onto, and stuck 'em back in. The stumbling & black smoke seem to be gone, so it looks like they just needed a good scrubbing & regap. (yes, I put the old plugs back in, and have a new set sitting on the shelf in case I feel the need someday.) Dave Hinz
