Someone driving some sort of small traytop truck recently backed into my '95 900SE completely missing the bumper bar and cracking the grille and denting the bonnet. (Nice guy/gal left no note.) Also broken are the two gray plastic surrounds that hold the headlights - the lug that helps hold the grille in place broke off each one. No big deal to get fixed except that my panel beater is saying he needs the car for 4 days and the lights have to go away to be fixed. I looked at them and pointed out that they appear to be held into the plastic surrounds with spring clips and surely he could change that and he said that they also had to be "glued in". Maybe I"m just suspicious but this makes no sense to me and seems not at all elegant and something about his manner makes me......I don't know, I just smell a small, furry rodent. Any comments?
