It's a 1984 900 S, 8V. I drive it pretty hard, but consistently keep the tach at or under 3500 rpm. I'll go up to 4000 if I really want to wind it out. Did the same with my dearly departed 1984 Jetta GLI (the old, old body style), and it served me will for many years. That car was almost as much fun to drive as the Saab.
