Running the fuel pump directly from the battery is a serious safety risk. Testing is OK. But don't run with a bypass circuit. The relay automatically turns the fuel pump off when the engine is not running. This may not seem important, but in the event of an accident, you would not want the fuel pump to continue to run if there was a broken fuel line. I know this seems improbable, but you would not want to burn up before they could cut you out of a wreck. Patrick
