Also, they don't really plow that well in CT. The main roads, like route 8 or 95, get plowed very fast. So, if you live right next to the highway, you're in luck. However, the local roads take a while, and some local roads take a long, long while to get plowed. Every time I went to work after a snow storm, the roads near my house weren't plowed or weren't plowed that well, but 8/95 was plowed (or there were so many cars on it that one lane had little snow). Also, my Saab has high performance tires on it. I'd much rather have these in the summer, and then have real snow tires in the winter. Why would I buy high performance tires for the summer and then get an "all season" tire for the winter? Supposedly the car I have is almost undriveable with its high performance tires in the snow.
