Well, I love my 9-5SE 98 model, but it has a few minor deficiencies. No window operating controls on the front door is a pain. Cruise control is the most non-intuitive device I have ever seen. Driving lights keep falling off if the spoiler gets bumped on the tarmac. I've just done a 5000 km round trip up to Queensland and back to Sydney and averaged 7.4 litres per 100 km for the trip. Did 2200 km on the return trip in 2 days and didn't feel tired at all. I did get a bit of road drumming/resonating noise on some rough Queensland roads when travelling at 110-120 kmph, but usually it is pretty quiet. I never had a 9000 - never liked them and never thought they were real Saabs, but guess they must be OK. I've only had 99's and 900's before the 9-5, and it's much better than them. -- Regards, Peter Wilkins
