We have 95 900S (SE) and the drivers seat heating has stopped working. Quoted at $500 Australian dollars to be fixed at a SAAB dealer. Our exchange rate is presently EXTREMLY poor compared to the U.S. , so in your dollars, that works out to $250 USD. They have to replace the whole seating heating mechanism and I'm not sure what that entails. Your other Q's with reference to how the seats heat, may well be better answered by someone else. Least to say, have elected not to fix, as we rarely use the heating device, would prefer a cooling device in our weather .. lol Davo
