Could be a good strategy. I've used it, still am. But, with the prices of new cars getting ridiculously high, it almost seems like buying a cream puff 3 year old lease return is the way to go now. As the other poster mentioned, lots of people buy cars they can't nearly afford. But, the sales folks keep telling them they can afford it, and their neighbors are buying in for the same expensive ride, so now everyone now _needs_ an overpriced car. Same thing happens with houses, chalk it up to ego. Bob
