For the above argument to carry any weight one has to assume there is almost no chance a race engine would fail during an event. Because there is a very good chance a race engine will fail during a race the teams use what is going to give them the best chance of finishing and winning. As for the stickers on the race cars, few teams have Mobil-1 as a primary sponsor. If Mobil is following the sponsorship formula most vendors use then if 1) You use Mobil-1 in your race vehicle, and 2) wear the appropriate stickers, and 3) place sufficiently high, then 4) your Mobil representative will supply the forms for documenting what you have done for Mobil-1 and may apply for contingency money. Is like applying for an income tax refund.
