The antenna control wire should be connected to the radio power switch, there should be an antenna control connection on the back of the radio; radio on = antenna up, radio off = antenna down, regardless of the ignition switch. It is your choice to connect the radio to a switched or unswitched ignition contact. Some people want to be able to listen to the radio when the engine (ignition) is off, others want the radio to go off when the engine is switched off. Some cars have an "A" position on the igniton switch, for accesories, where there is no power to the ignition system (charge light is off). I am not sure if newer Saabs have this "A" position (mine do not). -- MH ('77 96 '78 95 '79 96 '72 97) http://go.to/saab96
