Matt, to be honest I've no idea, but just guessing, it's probably quite complex - it neds a sun sensor in the dash, and other sensors in the car etc etc. In the UK at least, Saab still offer an optionaly upgrade for the old 900's from no air-con to air-con, and from air-con to climate, but it's pricey - I think the air-con to climate upgrade is something of the order of £1000 or so....
