Can't resist... 'Resistance is futile...' actually, the sensor is probably a proximity sensor which gives a pulse when a target moves by the sensor. Resistance will tell if the sensor has continuity, but not if it operates. The best way is to rotate the engine and see if a pulse train ensues. The sensor must be powered up and you must be measuring correct lead. Sorry I cannot be of more help here.
