Dave, No strange noises. I DID have pulsating brakes, but the rotor replacement took care of that. Feel is not spongy. However, if the pedal goes to the lower position, ...quick release, then a second foot application results in the pedal going to the higher position (normal?) Somewhat else mentioned vacuum leak to the booster. What does this device look like? I'll need to check the hose(s). You mentioned "conventional brakes". As to opposed to what exactly? ABS?
