Dave <ddhartwicknopsampamearthlink.net> pressed random keys until the following was produced: > Dave, > No strange noises. I DID have pulsating brakes, but the rotor > replacement took care of that. > Feel is not spongy. However, if the pedal goes to the lower position, > ...quick release, then a second foot application results in the pedal > going to the higher position (normal?) Air bubbles. That was what I was trying to say when I asked about first time vs. later applications of the brakes. > Somewhat else mentioned vacuum leak to the booster. What does this > device look like? I'll need to check the hose(s). Don't bother, you've got air in the lines. Did you say they did calipers too? If so, take it back, tell 'em the pedal goes far the first time & then firms up, and that they need to finish the job they started. They should absolutely *NOT* charge you for bleeding the brakes now; that should have been done when they replaced parts. If they only did rotors & not hydraulics, nevermind...then just either bleed them yourself, or have them do it. But, if they opened your hydraulic system (look for brake fluid on the bill), then they need to fix it. > You mentioned "conventional brakes". As to opposed to what exactly? > ABS? Yup - with ABS, all bets are off as far as getting advice from me. Dave Hinz
