>Still, UK car magazines are not what they used to be any more, they >focus on hype and fashion rather that "real" technology. Or is it >just me who is getting older? I buy "Car Mechanics" from time to time, >wonderful attitude; any old car is worth gold to them and can be >revived from the dead. I wouldn't have said that's entirely fair.... ;-) True Top Gear mag has well and truly gone off the deep end of "How many four-wheel drifts can we get this VW CamperVan to do" and "What's the 0-60 time of a Push-Bike". However, whilst that's been going on, I do think Autocar has been going from strength to strength - still objective, still practical (more than can be said for TopGear). Plus it's the underdog that still suprises me - Car Magazine - having been bottom of the sales charts for years, they have really pulled their socks up and are now churning out an excellent magazine - have a look.
