Subject: Re: '91 Saab 900 Turn Signal Switch Problem

Back to my problem... I have the directional indicator switch type where the switch is activated by the driver and the switch holds in the flashing/turn indicating position until you make the turn and then the switch sort of turns itself off... I also have cruise on the same switch stock. I am thinking that it can't be the flasher as a single flasher runs both right hand (US driver side) and left hand (passenger side) turn signals... and the left turn indicator always works fine. Even with replacing all the bulbs on the right side (front, side and back) with new bulbs it still freezes about half the time (when you turn it on... it lights but does not flash...). Also... this fifty percent of the time when the right turn indicator is activated and it lights but does not flash ... if you just slightly lift (touch) the lever back towards the driver (sort of pull it ever so slightly towards yourself when seated)... it begin to flash just fine... So I will likely tear the stock/switch assembly apart with the very fine instructions that folks have supplied and see what is going on... thanks again...
