AFAIK, hands'free kits are dependant on the central control box - which is different for each phone - the wiring can all stay in place, but the box, and of course the actual cradle shaped to fit the phone will need to be changed. Thus usually, unless you have a friendly phone guy, you have to buy a whole new kit, just to replace these two parts - though obviously you would save on labour charges, as the wiring itself is already in place.
