I have a problem with my APC-system. It shows as follows: when "pushing the pedal to the floor", the APC-needle is wandering into the red range and finally the fuel-flow seems to be interrupted (performance is intermittent-or in other words: the engine is jerking). The dealer did minor works with no success, then the car came into the garage for the inspection (110.000 km). The dealer couldnĄt reproduce the fault but I could immediately after having driven the engine hot. So they changed the control unit (located in front of the glove-compartement). It seemed to solve the problem during the first day. The "jerking" happened only once during full throttle, the APC-needle left in the yellow range and my idle problems (rpm not stable, moving up and down until sometimes the engine dies) didnĄt show up anymore. After driving some 100 km on the road the problem is almost as bad as before. 1. Is it possible to upgrade the control unit (as flashing a BIOS)? 2. Does anyone has similar problems and / or know how to fix it? Merry Christmas / Froehliche Weihnachten!!! Dieter Anders Saab R 900 ( equipement as 900 SE) 1996 111.000 km 2.0 turbo
